Maybe it's just the fact that I have never owned a cat before, but I am amazed at how much bed Daytona can take up!I sleep on a twin, which is just barely big enough for me. On most nights, Daytona will sleep curled up next to my legs. Sometimes, however, I will wake to find her smack dab in the middle of the bed, and my body contorted in some position that shouldn't be humanly possible.
Last night was the most extreme case. I was wakened by a foot in the face. That's right, a foot. I looked down to find myself on my back, which is unusual within itself since I avoid the back whenever possible. I saw Daytona s-p-r-a-w-l-e-d along my side with back legs toward my head. Apparently she had decided to stretch in her sleep and that's how her paw got in my face. I decided that since I was awake, I'd go ahead and heed the call of nature while I was up. I started to roll to the side of the bed in order to get off, and almost fell on my face. Not only had she put me on my back somehow, but she mysteriously managed to push my body to the extreme left of the bed.
Does anybody else have any similar encounters with their bed hogs ... I mean furbabies?
