One of the falsehoods about black cats is that it is bad luck to have one cross your path. This is superstitious nonsense. Since my cat is a black one I know it is good luck. Here are the situations and numbers where I have found my cat to be good luck. See if any of you feel the same.

1. Black cat jumping on a counter = 7 years good luck.
2. Black cat sleeping on your bed = 10 years good luck.
3. Black cat running across a room = 15 years good luck.
4. Black cat purring = 20 years good luck.
5. Black cat crawls underneath the bed covers = 5 years good luck.
6. Black cat gives you a love bite = 12 years good luck.
7. Black cat licks your face = 20 years of good luck.
8. Black cat scratching on its post = 5 years good luck.
9. Black cat playing with you = 17 years good luck.
10. Black cat meows at you = 10 years good luck.
11. Black cat jumps up on a table = 7 years good luck.
12. Black cat jumps on your back during play = 2 years good luck
13. Black cat stares at you = 3 years good luck.
14. Black cat eats its food and you watch him/her = 4 years good luck.
