CAT PHILES

Slightly Touched

Bubba Kitty: Lap Fungus

I'm discovering that Bubba Kitty is a real lap fungus.

When he comes in, he likes to either sit in my lap, or lie across my hips, if I do the couch potato imitation. And he loves to purr.

Of course, this makes Little Feet and Presto very jealous.

Now, Little Feet is a sniffer. He will climb up on my lap or chest, and start sniffing Bubba Kitty, who is not quite used to this. So I end up with two cats circling each other, on some of my tenderest parts.

Presto, on the other hand, tends to get close to me, but gives me a "You're not adopting him, are you?" sad and soulful look.

Now picture this: I have Bubba Kitty lying on my chest, and Little Feet with his hind legs in my lap, front legs on my chest. Presto is standing on the floor, his front legs near my face, giving me "The Look". All of a sudden, someone pounds on the door.

Bubba Kitty digs in with his hind claws, and leaps away, which startles Little Feet, who had settled into a nice deep sniff of Bubba Kitty's neck.

Little Feet does a pretty good backflip, using his claws for traction, and springs over Presto's head in the process.

Presto just decides to jump over me (well, halfway bouncing off my bladder) to the top of the couch.

I have decided that the couch has a one-cat limit from this point on. That, or a fully-stocked first aid kit.
