CAT PHILES

Just Me and my kitties

Cat or Parrot?

Picture this: You're bending over by the back door putting a harness on your dog that needs to go out. About 4 feet behind you is a recliner chair faced the other way towards the TV room. At top speed, from anywhere in the house, a radar goes off on a cat named Oscar. With the agility of a cheetah, he comes flying into the room, runs up the back of the recliner (leaping over sleeping cats, shoes on the floor, dog's toys), and then proceeds a four foot leap onto your back. He immediately sits down and looks like "I just got the best seat in the house". When you slowly stand up, he crawls up your back (reminder: keep those nails trimmed), and up to your shoulder to rest comfortably, as long as you will have him there!

He also does this to me in the kitchen. Knowing that the counter is a no-no, jumping and climbing up the back of me seems to be okay to him. He finds the shoulder, sits and watches what I'm doing. I've even fed him bits of stuff I'm preparing while he's on my shoulder!!
