Getting a cat out of a box isn't quite the same. I remember the procedure for packing up a Christmas gift when Jingo was a kitten: Put box on floor. Remove kitten. Put packing material in bottom of box. Remove kitten. Remove packing material from kitten and put in box. Remove kitten. Put first item in box. Remove kitten. Put second item in box. Remove kitten. [Repeat until all items are in box.] Remove kitten. Stuff in rest of packing material. Remove kitten. Remove packing material from kitten and replace in box. Remove kitten. Close box. Open box. Remove kitten. Close box quickly. Tape box shut. Panic. Find kitten under chair. Breathe.[1]
When "kitten" is replaced by "cat", the process is similar, except that a cat, being larger, has the ability to sneak into the box at one end while you are forcibly removing it from the other.
[1] No, I did not have 20 kittens. Just one.
