CAT PHILES

Kim and Mackerel the non-fish

If cats were meant to fly

I only have this account second hand from DH so its a bit sketchy.

He was at home in the week, playing on the computer instead of building cupboard doors. You know like most DH's do when their better half is at work. We leave the bathroom window open in the day when one of us is home so the cats can come and go as they please, via the roof of the shed below. Due to a leaking shower tray the other week we currently have bare floor boards in the bathroom. Another job which DH should have done rather than play on PC. Hence when the cats come in they make a real loud thump on the floor. Cat came in, thump then something chirped and was answered by a meow. DH got up and went into hallway to find Dippy with bird in mouth, and apparently it was quite a big bird this time, with Branston dancing around him as if to say "Let me have it, go on let me". Dippy spotted DH approaching and having had his action toys confiscated before legged it out of the window before DH could catch him. As he reached the path the bird, which had only been stunned, woke up and started furiously flapping his wings. Dippy, taken by surprise spat the bird out then realized his mistake as the bird took his chance and flew off. DH and Branston who had watched this from the bathroom window looked at each other as if to say "Useless" and both went back to what they'd been doing.
