Last week, I was heading out the door to go to work. Spot and Lady were at the door, waiting for me to come out and pet them, while Little Feet was at the inside of the door, waiting to look out.As I opened the door, Little Feet's ears pricked up, and both Spot and Lady turned toward the parking lot and froze. I looked to see a pointy-nosed silhouette, just around our side of the corner.
Lady hunkered down and looked nervous. Little Feet took a couple steps backward into the apartment. Spot sauntered over to the raccoon and touched noses.
When they finished greeting, the raccoon gave me a nervous look and backed away. So I locked up, went to the car, and watched Spot lead the raccoon to the remains of last night's cat food.
It was really cute - Spot standing guard over her friend, while the raccoon ate paw after paw of cat food from her food dish.
