Nikki has suddenly decided to become a real computer cat. Ever since I got my first home computer in May, every time I sit at the computer, Nikki has come and lain down on the floor beside my chair. Or she just sits there and gently touches my leg now and then with her nose.Today, I picked her up, and for once, she stayed in my lap while I was reading the newsgroup. Then she lost interest in the hand that was scritching her - ooh, ooh, just there, that's the place, there at the base of the ear - and noticed the cat I have traipsing around my screen.
She followed it with her eyes for a moment, but then she just had to pounce! She scratched frantically at the screen to get at that pesky little critter in the glass box. She was sitting on the keyboard, of course, so I had all sorts of cranky windows pop up asking me if I really wanted to end this program or delete that message.
I lifted Nikki off the keyboard and set her down beside it on the desk. She sat down so her butt hit the keyboard again. More windows popping up. I nudged her to the side, and there she's been lying ever since, contentedly asleep and purring for all the babies who need her power purrs.
Let's see how long it takes her to discover the monitor top.
