Sometimes I really believe Peaches has some sort of obsessive compulsive disorder. Really! This is the cat who will spend *hours* bathing. Honestly! She will meticulously groom every inch of her body, ensuring that not a hair is out of place. And when she's done with this daily ritual, although she looks the same as before, she will then look up at you with a face that clearly states "See? Now isn't that better? You may admire me now." Sometimes these cleaning episodes occur two or three times each day, making me wonder how she has any fur left. And *always* they last the better part of an hour at the least.

Now since she doesn't look any better (or worse) than when she started, the games begin. As she nears the end of her ritual and is cleaning her face and ears (she always works in the same order), I pet the newly cleaned tail. Starting at the tip, I slowly run my fingers up towards the base, rearranging all the groomed fur the wrong way. This receives a glare and she will flip that tail out of my reach. She then proceeds to clean it once again. When she's finished, she moves on to another part of her body. As soon as she's finished there and moving on, I do the same to that part. During this whole time, an overly annoyed tail is flipping wildly, clearly showing her disgust. Now, one would think that the cat would *learn* and move to a spot out of Mommy's reach. Instead, she continues laying in the same spot, occasionally moving to another position, but *always* in the same spot! This game usually lasts about 10 to 20 minutes before she gets REALLY annoyed and starts swatting at my hand, in which case (if I'm feeling generous!) I leave her to finish her bath.

Today, however, I must have *really* pissed her off (excuse the language.) She tried to bite me, the little twit!! In all the years Peaches and I have been together, she's NEVER tried to bite me! Hmph!
