MY FRIEND'S PETS

Dewi's Kitties

Sonic Sonic was the first cat to arrive out of my bunch and is the leader of the pack. He is wise and gives off a very fatherly, know-it-all vibe. When he first arrived he seemed very lonely without any other cat companions and so it wasn't long before I adopted Mango to keep him company. His expertise include bed hogging, charming the female cats and escaping from locked rooms (or so I thought). Sonic is great friend of Mango's.
Mango is the second cat to arrive into the family and the most inappropriately named cat, resembling a rotten mango more than anything. She is the quiet type and, as yet, I have never heard her purr out loud. Being so shy, it took Mango a couple of years before she really warmed up to my husband and myself. Consequently, it is a great complement when Mango decides to sit on my lap and smooch. She is no "smooch-flirt", unlike some cats I know, and moments like these do not come everyday. Mango
Monty Otherwise known as Mr. Macho, Monty can be a bully. He was a tomcat for a short while, which is probably the reason why his is the way he is. His bullying antics are largely directed at Tink, and consequently, we have to keep these two cats separate from each other. Monty, however, is a real sweetie with humans, being particularly fond of my husband. He is a bit of a loner but is good friends with Vincent. The two like to hang out under shrubs and trees together, pretending to be shadows.
Moggy
Moggy still acts like a kitten, even though kittenhood ended a year and a half ago for her. Moggy is fat, luscious and lazy. She is so lazy in fact, that she can never stand up for long, preferring to plop over on her side as soon as she gets the chance. She loves to be adored and consequently everything she does is adorable. Although a close companion of Vincent, Moggy harbors a secret affection for Sonic. She has tried explaining to me that she and Vincent are "just friends", but I know, that in reality, Moggy nothing but an outrageous flirt.
Tink Tink is beautiful, sassy and has a fiery temper. She is the cat most responsible for the scratches and scars on my arms and belly. She can be very affectionate though and is the first to greet visitors to the house. However, when Tink doesn't get what she wants, watch out! I found Tink wondering about town, hungry and lost. When I took her home she purred all the way in the car and then gorged herself silly on cat food and milk. Tink, like Monty, would rather live in single kitty households, but, I'm afraid, these two picked the wrong home for that!
Vincent Vincent is my favorite cat (shhh... don't let the others know)! He is extremely good natured, humble and very, very well balanced. Vinnie is closest with Moggy but, if the cats were to have a popularity contest, Vinnie would win paws down. For some reason Vincent cannot meow properly, making only a high-pitched "peeping" sound. I greet him by imitating his peep, to which Vinnie peeps back at me and then gives me a headbutt.
