DH and I were sitting on the sofa last night watching TV in the basement. The boys had come down to hang out with us. They really love the basement because we haven't accumulated enough stuff to clutter it up, so there are two long rooms of bare open floor separated by a wall and a large double door.

DH and I are intent on our show, when we hear the beginnings of a stampede on the other side of the wall. Mithu chases Pippin from the other room, through the double door, over the exercise equipment, up on to the side table and across a very surprised me and DH! Mithu literally crossed two inches in front of my face as he took a flying leap from the side table (which is on wheels, by the way). By some miracle, the glass of water on the side table was not knocked over, although a few drops of water escaped. The boys thundered up the stairs and continued their rampage while DH and I recovered from our near-death experience.
