Today I was unloading the groceries from the truck, and this usually takes several trips, so I don't close the door quite all the way.

Presto tries to escape sometimes (although he usually just walks around the building, to lay by the other door), so i close the door most of the way. Little Feet knows how to open cabinet doors, but never tries to run away.

As I came back from the kitchen, however, I watched the strangest thing, though.

Presto nosed up to the door, then walked back to Little Feet. He looked back at the door, whereupon Little Feet goes over and starts pulling on the door. After a few tries with no success, he walks back to Presto, and touches noses. Both cats walk back to the door, and examine the slight edge that is sticking out, more closely.

Little feet tries again, this time with Presto pawing at various places on the door. Each time Presto does this, Little Feet tries again, at the place where Presto pawed.

Now I'm getting spooked (grin).
