Zephyr and Zorro, now 9 and 8 weeks old, are getting their first B-A-T-H today. Yesterday they got their first taste of Fancy Feast Shrimp & Fish Feast cat food. This was necessitated by me running out of their regular food and having to make a quick trip to the grocery to pick something up. Well, they liked it. A LOT. And I made the mistake of giving it to them in one saucer, which wasn't a problem with their regular food. They liked it so much they wound up lying in it, trying to cover it up with their front legs to avoid sharing it. This was accompanied by ferocious growling during the whole meal. (I didn't know a cat could growl continuously while eating. You learn something new every day.) It was a pretty juicy food, so now they both smell like a slightly spoiled seafood market. As annoyed as I was, it was also quite entertaining, and I wish I'd had a camera available to snap pictures.

A little while later, after cleaning up the mess left from the Fish Feast and giving the kitties a wipedown with wet wipes, I put some of their new dry food down, and it turns out they really like that too. After munching at it and playing with some, Zephyr laid down right on top of the food and went to sleep on it. Also wish I'd caught a picture of that. Needless to say, they're pretty stinky kitties today. Guess there's no way around it but a full bath.
