Reggie & Hale Bopp

Hale Bopp and the balloons

My friend Sheri and her kids stopped by the other day, the younger child clasping a small bag of "goodies" acquired at school. Now the Bopper really likes kids because they get down on the floor and play with him, something adults don't do. After they had left, I discovered that the child had left behind three small balloons. To entertain the Bopper, I blew them up and let them fly. He got a kick out of trying to catch them. We played this game for about an hour. I then left to walk to the store, leaving the balloons where they had landed. When I returned I found that the Bopster had rounded them up and piled them in front of my chair. We played the game again for a while and then I blew one up and tied it off and tossed it to him. He wasn't quite sure about this, but he gently batted it around for awhile before he pounced, claws extended, which had the predictable effect of popping the balloon, sending His Catness at least four feet into the air. I thought I would die laughing.

When he finally came out from under the table I got the turned back and raised tail snub until I went to the catnip plant and cut him a good bunch. He says he wants no part of these balloon things, thank you.
