Samuel R. kitten has been enjoying his new-found freedom very much, having spent most of the last three days exploring all the little hidey-holes in the house and irritating all three of his sisters. We've still been locking him in the bathroom at night, though - he's still just a little tiny thing, and we figure he needs protected access to his food through the night (otherwise his sisters come in and eat everything out of Samuel's dish).

Last night we did our usual getting-ready-for-bed routine - get ourselves ready, put food in all the dishes, put Sam in the bathroom, and close the bathroom door.

Imagine my surprise when I woke up at 3:00AM with Samuel R. Kitten curled up next to me! The bathroom door was still closed. I guess Sammy Red Kitten has purrfected his teleporting skills earlier than I expected.
