CAT PHILES

The Highland Furkids

Shows How Much I Know

Silly me, thinking we wouldn't be doing a kitten walk tonight!

The rain stopped a couple hours ago, and shortly after it did Harri started singing to me. The lyrics went something like "Hey, Paw, the rain stopped. The rain stopped. Hey Paw, it's not raining. Look out there, it's dark. And there's not a single kitten walking anywhere to be seen. Think we ought fix that problem? Do you, huh?"

Since she was so set on the idea, I bundled up and off we went. We walked past the shop and I saw that it was closed up and dark, so I guess they won't be getting to us until tomorrow. We then went straight to the pallet yard, where we spent a fair bit of our time yesterday.

The very instant we hit the back corner of the pallet yard Harri pounced on something, then started spinning in circles slapping at the ground. A few seconds later she turned around - with something grey and wiggling in her mouth! She had caught another mouse! But this time she actually got her teeth into it. I wasn't sure I liked the idea of her dispatching a mouse, but I didn't have to worry about it. Less than a minute later it squirmed out of her grip and darted under a pile of pallets. We hovered around that pallet yard for another 10 minutes or so while Harri sang her inaudible-to-humans "come out, come out, and play with the kitty" song, but then she lost interest. We walked the south fence again and had a great time until another driver saw us walking and came over. He wanted to see if he really had spotted someone walking a cat. We talked for a couple minutes, but Harri was TERRIFIED so we cut the conversation short and went back to the pallet yard for a few more minutes.

Looks like I need *two* mouse decals for the truck door now. And one moth and one butterfly. What a huntress!
