It has been an ongoing challenge for me, the removal of cat hair from my clothes. See, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I have cats with white belly fur, yet I insist on having mostly dark coloured clothing. Blues, greens, browns... god forbid I ever buy anything in a colour that might *hide* the cat fur.Unfortunately, the boys have a thing for freshly laundered clothes. Preferably still a little damp, which sometimes happens if the dryer doesn't completely dry them. Last night I brought in a basket full of freshly washed, hair free sweaters all nicely folded from the laundry room. I put them down on the couch and went to the washroom, figuring the boys were sleeping in the closet and wouldn't notice the clothes sitting there for a few minutes.
Boy, am I dumb. Of course they noticed. They live for fresh laundry! I walk out of the bathroom to find my nice clean sweaters smothered underneath over 25 lbs of blissful cats. Chewie has his white belly smooshed directly onto the sweaters, therefore maximizing the belly to sweater transfer of hair. Enzo is rubbing the side of his face all over my particular favourite navy blue sweater, leaving nice little puffs of fur embedded in the weave.
So now I've decided that I'm just going to proudly sport my cat fur clothes. I've thrown out my lint rollers and various rolls of sticky tape. Maybe I'll start a new fashion trend.
