Jason's Lucky Escape

Yesterday, Jason went to the vets for a check up. He wanted to know whether or not the special lower urinary tract support diet he has been forced to eat at nearly every meal for the last two months, has dissolved his old struvite stones and prevented new ones forming.

Being a rather "handsome "cat (his choice of word), he received admiring looks and comments from the Accounts Clerk who happened to see him in Reception and the Receptionist. He particularly impressed the new vet we saw. She spent a long time fussing him before taking him out the back to the treatment room to draw off some urine.

While we were waiting to pay the bill, the same vet emerged from her consulting room and announced that she was going to steal Jason. Jason immediately looked terrified. His ears drooped, his eyes widened with anxiety and he nervously licked his lips. Ignoring his vocal protests, she picked him out of his carrying box, threw him over her shoulder and disappeared back into her room. As the door closed, Jason eyes implored me to rescue him.

Despite being brought back a few minutes later, Jason is convinced that this vet has designs on him and intends to take him away from his loving family.

He has asked me not to make any further appointments with her.
