CAT PHILES

TJ and The Dust

A killer in the house!

Finally back from vacation and I just couldn't wait to get to postin'! While we were gone one of my hubby's employees and her boyfriend stayed here to watch the house and the pets. Apparently Dusty was not on his best behavior.

Me: How are the pets?
HouseSitters (HS): Oh Kody is a really well behaved dog but I don't think "The Cat" likes us very much.
Me: Why?
HS: He just stares at us all the time with a real dirty look on his face.

Couple of days later...
Me: Has Dusty warmed up to you yet?
HS: Uh uh, I think the really hates us. He just stares at us. I love cats but have never seen a cat look at me this way before. I am afraid to walk to close to him. My boyfriend is scared to sleep with the bedroom door open. I am keeping his water and food bowls full to the brim just so he has no other reason to attack us.

Day we got back...
Me: So you and Dusty just didn't hit it off?
HS: Last night I was convinced he was going to kill us. He looked so evil, he would just stare at us with his mouth hanging open and his head cocked to the side. My boyfriend suggested we no longer look at him or make eye contact. We slept in the living room because he was on our bed and both of us were afraid to move or shoo him off fearing he would claw our eyes out.

Oh boy! Dust sure played them didn't he? They are going to be staying here for a week when we go out of town at the end of this month. Should I tell him that he always looks that way and that when his mouth is open it means he is downloading from the Mothership? Nah, I think I will just let them be afraid again!
