Let It Rain

Dear friends,

This morning it's been raining hard. Nevertheless, I've still had to go out and check my territory and eat up any food left over by Ebony, my feral friend, who breakfasts outside our patio doors. By the time I'd finished my chores, my fur was soaking wet.

When I came indoors, I spied Meowmie having breakfast at the dining room table and reading the newspaper. Stealthily, I crept towards her. Then, when close enough to pounce, I pounced. "EWWWWWWWWWWW", she screamed as my drenched body landed in her lap. Grinning broadly, I rubbed myself against her chest. She was wearing a clean white cotton T-shirt. Meanwhile, my wet muddy paws transformed her freshly laundered plain blue skirt. I was so wet that Meowmie had to put me down and go and get a towel to help me finish drying off. As she was rubbing me down - I get really excited when she does this - I thought to myself that it would be a good idea as soon as I'm completely dry and she has changed her dirty clothes, if I went out and checked my territory again. It's raining worse than ever now...

Purrs and grins,
Jason
