CAT PHILES

Cat Attack

The Lost Greebling Pictures

Those of you with very, very good memories will remember that Waffles sent Frank a fine toy greebling for his birthday last year. It didn't take me too long to figure out what it was, though I, like most hoomins, have never seen a greebling before, they being invisible to us mere mortals.

This toy greebling, however, was very much visible to me, and an ugly b*st*rd it is. To show you all what it is that our furry masters are constantly protecting us from, I set it up on my bed to take pictures of it. I set it up, and Nikki pounced it. Then Frank pounced Nikki and chased her off *his* toy greebling. Then he kicked the greebling's butt to kingdom come. All the while, I was snapping pictures.

I took the film out of the camera, put it in a safe place, and promptly forgot where that safe place was. I could not find it anywhere. Not in my knapsack (I don't use a handbag). Not in my coat pocket. Not on any table or shelf or anywhere.

Well, now that the weather has turned *freezing* here in Helsinki, I took out my winter coat, put it on and put my hand in the pocket. Oh, yes, the film was there. In its little plastic container, as it should be.

Still, it makes me suspicious. Did the cats hide it in a black hole? Did they teleport it to the Mothership to censor it? Maybe they don't want us to know what a greebling looks like? Whatever the purpose of hiding the film, I had it developed, and there are the pictures of the greebling, plain to see. No interference. No black or fuzzy blobs hiding the greebling. Maybe it's not an accurate replica of a greebling, after all?

Now I just need to get the pictures scanned. My cr*ppy little photo scanner has started to make strange lines across all pictures, so I can't really use it, but I will try to find a way to scan them soon. Hmm, maybe the Mothership interfered with my scanner?
