I was given a gift certificate for four massages from a good friend. The masseuse comes to my house with her portable table and tortures me for an hour. It hurts sooooo good. And it was all her fault.
She came over last Tuesday and started to set up her table. Dorrie freaked out and ran to hide. Shinobu didn't even show her little face.
"Where's your friendly kitty?" She asked. She loves cats.
So I called Lucy. Lucy showed a certain curiosity the last time Linda was here, so I figured she'd want to see what was going on.
We woke her up from her nap. This is a crime. When you wake Lucy from one of her naps you are subjected to some horrible nasty looks.
Lucy yawned sleepily then noticed that the massage table was in her house and perked right up.
Linda put a sheepskin cover on the table. Lucy had to help. She got under the skin and tried to snuggle to the bottom. Linda pulled her out and Lucy growled at her and tried to paw her way back under. Linda put a sheet over the sheepskin and Lucy tried to get under that too. Actually wanted to make some kind of nest.
I got the wand with feathers and ran it over my bed to get Lucy's attention. She sprang out from under the sheet and attacked with ferocious excitement. Leaping back and forth like a ballerina.
Finally it was time for me to get on the table. Lucy was offended that I wasn't paying attention to her and proceeded to strike several cute poses to get us to look at her. After about 15 minutes of being cute she decided that she had to have more action and leapt on the table onto my back and supervised the hand movements. Every so often she would pat at Linda's hands to show her the right way to do things. Satisfied that Linda was doing things properly, Lucy came up to my head and began digging under the pillow I had under my chin.
As you probably know, massage tables have a hole in one end. Lucy found that hole very interesting. She stuck her head into it, then reached down with a paw. I scrambled my fingers under the table and she went nuts. There was a critter under there! She dug frantically, trying to find whatever was hiding from her.
Not to be discouraged, she lay by the hole and kept a watchful eye on it, purring to herself. About that time, Linda must have done something interesting because she proceeded to walk across my body to check it out, then leapt off the table.
She was gone for a while. We thought she lost interest. We were wrong. A few minutes later she was back on the bed doing all kinds of cute things so we would tell her how adorable she was.
Finally it was over. Linda packed up her things and Lucy and I walked her to the door. She'll be back in four weeks and Lucy can hardly wait.
