CAT PHILES

Tales From Outer Magnolia

Mothership

Ted showed me one of her secrets over the weekend.

She walked into the kitchen and something behind the fridge caught her attention. She did the full high-beam cat paying attention thing - neck stretched out, ears forward, whiskers forward, big eyes and twitching nose. She stayed that way for a moment or two and then kind-of nodded a couple of times, as if she was saying "uh-huh, uh-huh, yep, OK". She then relaxed her stance a bit, nodded once or twice more, and glanced sideways at me before casually strolling away and taking up her position in front of the fridge door (you know, the "FEED ME" position).

My conclusion: the Mothership paid us a visit over the weekend and was hanging around behind the fridge. I'm sure Ted thought the Mothership was re-stocking the fridge with catfood.
