We had an old clock-radio for years, with a 'sleep' button. Little Feet always chose to sit on the radio to look out that particular window, often setting off the sleep button.

That particular radio took a full hour before the sleep feature would time out. That, or you had to unplug it and reset the time and alarm.

Well, I finally bought a newer/better clock radio that wasn't such a pain to reset. Time set has a forward and a backward feature, as well as a fast set feature - I don't have to slowly slog through a full 24-hour reset...

This radio also has sounds - a brook, a forest, the ocean, and the wind. Only one of these has birds chirping - the forest. The button to select sounds is on top of the radio, as is the button to start playing them. Do you see where this is going yet?

As usual, Little Feet likes to sit atop the radio to look out the window,despite repeated and failed attempt to prevent this. Only recently has he started setting off the sounds. And he somehow seems to always select the one with the birds. Twice at 3 AM!

Oh yes, I made sure that the new clock/radio has a reset button to turn off sounds, radio, whatever noises, so that I can go back to sleep, right after grabbing Little Feet and bringing him back to bed.

Sigh....
