Last evening I decided to steep the furry mice I bought my kitties for Christmas in catnip to make them more interesting. I checked around... no kitties upstairs. I quietly opened my dresser drawer, and pulled out the cat nip bag, laid it on the bed, and opened the package of furry mice, but they were affixed to the package by those little plastic "T" thingies, so I had to cut them off. Suddenly I found myself surrounded by three circling cats.. tails straight up like shark fins, frantically running around the top of the bed. They could smell the unopened cat nip, but they couldn't find it.I jammed the mice into the bag, Webby tried to get the bag, missed it, hooked my fingers instead, as I turned around and shoved the mice back into the handkerchief drawer on the top of my dresser, Webster launched all 16 lbs of himself off the bed on to the dresser top scattering leaded glass picture frames and antique porcelain boxes while he rolled around trying to wedge his nose into the seams around the drawer.
Guess I found some good nip! Christmas morning is gonna be fun.
