Well, Presto is mad at me again for not following The Rules. Some months ago, we packed a lot of old clothes into a box, with intent to donate them.
First mistake was to sit the box on the floor, near the couch, within easy reach of the cats. Second mistake was to let the box sit there with no top on it.
So this quickly became the favorite spot to knead, sleep, and schmooze.
Since the couch near the box is my usual spot, Presto is often lying there within arm's reach, so I was petting him and rubbing his belly.
Only this time he decides to play ferocious kitty, by showing his teeth, and (lightly) chewing on any fingers that came near. Well, I was just egging it on, by exclaiming "Ow! Ow! So ferocious! And I saw toofies in there!"
He was eating it up (since Senyah won't play the ferocious game with him). Then I spoiled it all by telling him how cute he was, and picking him up to cuddle him.
He insisted that I let him down immediately, because he's a *ferocious* tiger, and ferocious tigers aren't cuddly.
Poor baby. Right now, however, he is trying to get cuddly tiger attention as I type (grin). I love my kitty, even if he does put on airs.
