CAT PHILES

Pam and Berfert

Pam's Kitty Poetry

Fat upside down catskin rug
Kitty trapwaiting
Do I spring it?
Funny cat boot
clawsgripping my ankle
pleased look in her eyes
Sharpening teeth with my toes
Satisfaction guarenteed

Sometimes a great notion
Befalls the cat
He contemplates air molecules
Intent on the inner feline
Determined to purr all he can purr
Lifestyles of the fat and furry
His role model of the moment
Later he'll contemplate panthers
Sharpen his claws on the chair

MY CAT DANCES WITH FAERIES

Berfert dances with faeries
Paws flashing white in the dew
A clearing in the forest
His ballroom
He watches their movements
I see no one there
He slaps them and plays
An intricate dance of the unknown
I watch enviously
Wishing I could play too

deviltry asleep on the window sill
claws slash
mighty hunter
brings home prey
kittens will eat well
Wait a minute
What's that sound
must help meowmie
dinner has been served

There is a hairball on the sofa
I found it when I sat down
It was a noble gift
If only my guests hadn't seen it too

We have squirrels
The cat introduced us this morning
He invited them in to stay
Even offered them my room
They have set up housekeeping

I am missing many things lately
Hairpins, q-tips, glasses, more
The cat looks at me funny now
Could the two be connected?

I need more cats
There is empty space on my bed
I figure at least two cats
Would take up the slack nicely

Cats strut through my dreams
I wish I could dance with them
Moon light shining off our fur
Our own songs echo
Off the walls as we strut proudly
Our tails tangoed together

I am here for the cats
This they know and use against me
I choose my clothes
By how much the fur will show
When the cats nap on it.

What do you do with a drunken kitty
Catnip on her breath, mayhem in her eye
My last pair of pantyhose her target.
Her claws unsheathed
