I've been waiting for this ever since I brought PC back from TED. Most cats are resigned to going to TED, but there are a few that believe that all of their woes are the fault of the delivery person. Me, in PC's case. The first night back I was awakened by loud slurping noises coming from beside me. I opened my eyes to find part of a furry haunch blocking my vision. PC was sitting on my face and drinking out of my water glass. I was reaching up to remove him from my line of vision, when he let me know that giving him a potato chip was not a good idea. PC tends to be gassy and this one made me realize why I'd been dreaming about skunks. When I rapidly removed myself from his area, he turned around and glared at me. I left the area for the bathroom where the air smelled sweeter.
Wednesday and Thursday I wandered around the house with PC glaring at me wherever I happened to look. It was unnerving, but expected. PC contented himself with stealing my food, scratching at my dresser, stealing my socks, and trying to bury my shoes. Again, expected behavior. He attacked my foot and bit my toe Wednesday night. It didn't draw blood, but made me check on the cats' food supply.
Last night, I fell asleep while reading a book. Rob woke me up by taking the book away and turning off the computer. I snuggled back to sleep, to be awakened by something dancing on my hip. PC was spinning and turning around on my hip and butt. I shifted him off of me and he retaliated by biting my butt. He was in a huff at the bad Meowmie for taking his fun away.
This morning, I slept in while the kids left for school, and then watched a movie on TV. I was really interested in what was happening, when I heard a growling noise from the bedroom door. PC was going into pounce mode and I was the target. I ducked away from his attack and he landed on my pillow, where he bit my hair and pulled on it as hard as he could. I grabbed him and spent a few minutes pulling hair out from his teeth. He licked my thumb and bit it. I yelled ouch and dropped him. He immediately looked contrite and licked my hand. He then snuggled down beside me and went to sleep. I dozed back off and later woke up to find him missing. I tracked down all the cats and found him sleeping on Mandy's bed with QC. They looked comfortable. A little bit ago, PC actually came in to get head scritches. I think he may have forgiven me... at least for this trip to TED.
