CAT PHILES

The Escapades of Otis & Chester

Cat Physiotherapy

Otis has done it again.

I'm in physio for a tricky little rotator cuff muscle problem in my right shoulder. Otis has decided to help. I keep waking up with him sleeping on said shoulder or jammed up in my right armpit. Ouch.

Then I have to go to physio and say that it's not feeling too much better ... but that it might have something to do with the cat sleeping on it.

Then comes the inevitable, "Why don't you stick the cat in the basement?". [groan] How do you explain that besides the fact that its one of the most sublime experiences to sleep with a purring cat that His Highness would yowl *all night* if he were confined to the basement? "Really," she says, "I'm a d*g person".

I may get fired from the physiotherapist.

The whole thing is quite clever from Otis' perspective though. If I can't fix the rotator cuff, then I likely won't be getting up and going swimming at ungodly hours of the morning. Then Otis won't lose his heat source.

Is this a b*st*rd cat trick?
