This morning I was watching "Animal Planet," as I so often do. They were showing a program about Border Collies and their jobs as shepherd dogs. I was enjoying it immensely, as I had once been owned by a Border Collie, when all of a sudden I noticed Gizzi. He was sitting in front of the TV and watching with equal great interest. His little head followed the dogs as they ran across the screen. When the sheep and the dogs ran in opposite directions, so did his head! When the sheep ran across the screen and disappeared, he ran to the corner of the TV set to see where they went!
As a change of pace, they showed a Border Collie race, where the dogs ran over several obstacles to reach a ball, picked it up, ran back to the Start and dropped the ball for a new dog to pick it up. He was really excited by this time and got to his feet to watch!
But best of all was when they showed a bunch of puppies. Gizzi likes puppies! He leapt up and pressed his small head against the puppy faces, chirping softly! They were not soft and smelly, as he had hoped, so he looked at me in puzzlement. Sorry, pal, but I couldn't help!
After all this excitement, he did a quick "warsh," and curled up in front of the TV to sleep.
Are any of your furkids addicted to TV like this?
