Opie has been working on the theory that when he hears the sound of a car outside that lights will run across the bedroom wall. He has connected the sound with the lights. There is only one thing wrong with this theory - it doesn't always work. For one thing, sometimes he hears the sound but there are no lights. Even so, he feels strongly that there is a connection. Perhaps the sound produces the lights only when it reaches a certain vibrational level.
When he's not working on his theory of relativity in the bedroom, he can be found in the kitchen sink observing the mystery of that visible yet invisible element of water. He noted that it always moves downward. In a recent experiment, however, using the splash an ripple effect, he found when applying force, the clear liquid actually flew upward and out at a distance of four and a half feet, defying gravity, landing on a sandwich I was making (thank you very much).
Then, there is his string theory: Even though lights running across the wall are fun to chase and water runs down the drain faster than he can catch it, string can be fun too.
