One thing about my cat Jade is that she was born with the heart of a fierce warrior. If you pick her up without asking she growls and hisses as if to say “Put me down peasant! Do you have any idea who you are messing with?”Jade is a green-eyed Diluted Tabby who despite being declawed (she was found this way as a rescue so I didn't do it) still has a heart of a tiger. If you mess with her you get the full weight of her poundage upon you. She'll paw, spit, hiss, growl, and bite. Even declawed she is dangerous. Her green eyes are piercing and her tiger-like stripes are well camouflaged amongst her other body colors. I call her the Jade Dragon sometimes because of her strong and fighting nature. She is also sweet, beautiful, and when it’s needed has a calm attitude about life. I am beginning to think she, like my other cat Isis, is a Samurai.
Both cats share the same seven principles of the Samurai:
1. Duty & Loyalty
2. Justice & Morality
3. Complete Sincerity
4. Polite Courtesy
5. Compassion
6. Heroic Courage
7. HonorAnd just like the brave and strong Samurai, I see both cats battle for the supremacy of the bed at night. Jade will lie there in her spot and Isis will come along and jump up next to her. Then after all the politeness of Jade licking Isis’ head is over, it’s down to their Samurai business. Isis’ lifts her paws and Jade lifts hers too. The fight ensues and both cats are left to take the battle in the other room so their human can sleep. Right now my 2 Samurai rest but there will be other battles and now I find myself serving them. Isn't that the way it’s supposed to be? All I need now is my Samurai sword...
