CAT PHILES

Silly Half Hour

My kitten's gone barmy, she's leaping around,
She's up in the air then she's back on the ground.
She's out of the wardrobe and into the shower.
She's having her regular silly half hour.

She spins around, using her tail as a rudder,
Then chases it frantically, daft little bugger!
She knocks a vase over and tramples the flowers,
“Cos nothing’s safe during her silly half hours.

She jumps on the dog and it runs for the door,
Exactly as it's done so often before.
The whole kitchen floor is just covered in flour,
“Cos I'm baking, and this is her silly half hour.

The throw rugs are targets and so is the bed,
She runs to the mirror and bang goes her head,
The curtains are tattered on windows and shower,
The victims of Buggerlugs' silly half hour!

If I did the same I'd be put in a cage.
They'd say “She’s gone troppo, it's just middle age!”
But a cat looks so cute when she’s munching a flower,
That we smile and just call it a silly half hour.
