Name: Simpson (named after the dishwasher)
Age: 7 years (in 2003)
Hobbies: Eating, rolling around in dirt, and playing with empty boxes.

They say that cats choose their owners, and with Simpson there was no exception.

About three years ago he wandered into my back yard and before I knew it he had made himself at home, both in the bungalow and in my heart.

Warm afternoons are filled with naps in the back seat of my car, and in winter Simpson moonlights as a foot-warmer by sleeping at the end of my bed.

Apart from chasing anything that moves, Simpson patrols the driveway - I mean "his" driveway. He does this by sitting on the bonnets of visiting cars, waiting for family members to come home, and escorting me up and down the driveway while I take out the rubbish bin and recycling crates.

Simpson is a very important part of my life and a valued member of my family, even though he is always meowing to be fed and he digs up my brother's garden.

I love you, Simpson!
