Last night as I was lying on my side going to sleep, Tabby-tha snuggled up beside me to get her usual "green blanket fix" where she smurgles on the blanket while being petted. Sammy the d*g is behind her cuddled up next to my wife.Sammy decides that Tabby-tha is too tempting, and he nips her on the backside. Tabby-tha reacts by jumping on top of me and spinning around to face Sammy. Sammy makes another lunge and Tabby-tha extends her claws and does a scrambling take-off for parts unknown.
All of this took place in the length of time it took me to say "Hey!" when Tabby-tha jumped onto me and "$#%*(" when she did her take-off. Now few things will get your adrenaline pumping like scratches on your chest, and puncture wounds in your armpit.
For some reason, Sammy carefully avoided me as I returned from applying antiseptic and bandages. Have you ever tried to put a band-aid on your armpit? I had to wait for the stinging and adrenaline to subside before I finally got to sleep.
By the way, this morning I found out that puncture wounds and anti-perspirant don't mix well.
