Spoiled little brat

Lucy Fur
Lucy Fur

Lucy Fur is our youngest furbaby. She is also very used to getting her own way.

Last weekend I had planned to spend both days sewing on a new outfit I wanted to wear to a wedding.

Lucy loves to help me sew. She gets into the window and chirps to me while I'm working or lays next to the machine and naps. (Right now she is napping on the monitor.)

Well, last Saturday she was determined that I was not going to get anything done. Each time I pinned a pattern piece down, she would dash under it causing a great deal of mayhem as patterns and fabric went flying around the room. She knocked over my scrap box and dragged scraps all over the place. She unthreaded my machine several times.

Thinking I would outsmart the little monster, I headed for the computer room. With a little trilling sound, she dashed into the other room. After a few minutes, I tried to leave and head back to the sewing room very quietly. No such luck. The little stinker raced back up to the cutting table and threw my fabric on the floor.

I finally threw her furry little butt out and shut the door. The soulful cries and the sound of a furry body being flung against the door were more than I could take. So I went downstairs and got a magazine to read. With a contented sigh, Lucy settled onto the couch across the room from me and proceeded to take another nap. One eye would open every couple of minutes to make sure I hadn't tried to sneak off.

It took forever to get that outfit done.

Spoiled little brat.
