I dug out my Catnip Video -- none of my older cats were one bit interested in it -- and ran it for Gizzi. He was fascinated! For the first 10 minutes, he sat in front of the screen with nothing but his little head moving. What a sense of wonder he has! After he got over his initial period of being totally awestruck, he began to leap at the birds who took his interest, especially the cardinals and the "big" blackbirds with the green-toned wings. He seemed to be a little bit disappointed that he couldn't catch them, but he knew they were in the box!
He investigated first one side and then the other, but there was no way to get in! He went around back, with no success. He must have been thinking, "How does she get them "in" there?"
He went back to watching and wishing. There was one shot of a squirrel who appeared to be larger than Gizzi. I don't think he liked the squirrels much.
It was over way too soon. He turned and looked at me with an "Is that all?" look on his little face. At that moment I felt an overwhelming urge to buy him anything he wants! Of such moments are the Spoiled Little Princes born!
It only lasted a half hour, but its effects are going to last way into the future!
