CAT PHILES

The Highland Furkids

The Tattle-Cat

We've got three feline masters in our house. Cleopatra and DD are pretty sedate, laid-back cats most of the time, while Amelia goes through play-machine phases where everything in the house is a toy.

A few weeks ago my wife and I were sitting in the living room reading and enjoying a quiet Saturday afternoon. The cats were nowhere to be seen. A loud crash from the computer room startled us both. Before we could get out of our chairs to investigate, little Amelia came rushing out of the bedroom with her tail fluffed up and sat in front of the TV. When we got up to investigate, Amelia led us to the computer room then sat by the door. She stayed there while we investigated, finding that Cleo had been climbing the parts shelf and was knocking cables off the shelf into the trash can. After removing the cat from the shelves, we found Amelia *still* sitting quietly by the door.

Apparently her purpose in running out to the living room was to say "See, Momma and Papa, I'm being a good kitty and Cleo is being naughty!"
