Ever since Shadow died I have been putting a flower blossom on his grave, a lily or Queen Anne's Lace or an Ox Eyed Daisy... just a pretty flower that catches my eye... and every morning it is gone, completely... not a petal to be found, no shriveled up dried remains, nothing...Well tonight the mystery is solved. I just looked out my kitchen window to see a sweet little half grown rabbit eating leaves at the edge of the woods. I watched his as he hopped over and sat right on Shadow's grave and looked for a blossom to nibble. Shadow would be so excited. What a sweet thing to see. I would much rather the bunny get the flowers than to find dried dead blooms.
I have been looking for a small garden sculpture to put on Shadow's grave to honor his life. I kept looking for a cat sculpture that looked like him but nothing came even close. But now I think, if I decide to get one it should be a little rabbit. Shadow would like that.
