Dearest Dustkitty,Twenty years ago, we picked you from a litter a bundle of glorious black fur, and thrilled at your wonderful nature and personality.
You watched and guided the boys as they grew into young men, putting the paw of approval at their choice of partner.
They left home and you took to guiding the kittens as they came along as you have these many years.
You were half blind but could always hear the fridge door and told us in no uncertain terms what you should have.
Of course it was always what your dad had and only then would have cat food from the top shelf.
This last year you slowly got more frail, and couldn't groom your beautiful coat as you would have liked, so we did it for you.
Then when you began renal failure I made the decision to have you given sleep here at home in my arms purring with your dignity intact. I'm sorry you were a bit soggy - the tears from my eyes I could not stop.
Rest touching paws with your friends in the front garden you loved so much.
Your heartbroken human mum and dad and all your furry family. xxxx
