Tribute to Isaiah

For ten years Isaiah ruled our little kingdom of two humans and three other cats. He would supervise every activity in the house, from laundry to major renovations, without his paw of approval it would not be done.

He loved the outdoors, albeit with the strictest supervision. He would roll in the grass watch squirrels or follow some insect with big green eyes or just have a nap after surveying his kingdom. At night he would sound the lights out by reminding everybody, 11:00PM sharp, it was time for bed and in the morning with a gentle paw on cheek, if that didn't work a little bite to the end of the nose, that it's a new day and to Isaiah every new day was a new world filled with things to discover. The last two years were spent in training the newest feline addition to the household, that was his finest accomplishment.

He was king and he looked the part, he was the epitomy of dignity and serenity. After a gallant fight of 15 months we finally had to let him go, although he retained his beauty and dignity to the end. I don't think Jon Bon Jovi thought of a cat when wrote "Thank you for loving me" but it is so fitting.

Good-bye Isaiah and thank you for loving all of us, until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge.

In Loving Memory of Isaiah
