Over 13 years ago a little kitten came into our lives with his own unique set of needs and a special sweetness all his own. In spite of his congenital afflictions, he soldiered on throughout his life, charming everyone who met him. He was always the lowest cat in the hierarchy: he posed no threat and had only the best of intentions towards his feline friends. With his best buddy Isaiah, he helped in bringing up the kitten Gideon, teaching him his own particular philosophy: Even though neutered, never give up on your sex life. His need to use a set of stairs to get up to the bed for his nightly cuddles meant all the cats subsequently decided they must use the stairs as well.

We will never forget our little Schmo, his unfailing good cheer, his constant affection and his own particular series of quirks that can never be duplicated.

His life was not quite the same since he lost his best friend Isaiah in April. We hope they are now together, curled up, paws wrapped around each other and cheek to cheek as we so often found them over the course of many years.

We love you always, we will never forget you.
