Tribute to Sam

Sweet Sam

I'm having a hard time coping with the loss of Sam, but it really helps to know there are people who understand how it feels to lose a beloved pet. I think it's the fact that he was so young (10 years), had such a terrible disease, and that this all happened so fast.

Sam will be irreplaceable. He was a classic red tabby, and his colour was the richest shade of orange I've ever seen. He was such a dark colour and it remained that way as he aged.

Sam had the body similar to a Siamese. Orange cats are usually stocky, but Sam had a slender build, with a slim face and legs. He also had stunning green eyes which contrasted with his richly coloured coat.

Sam's personality was like no other cat I've ever met (and that's a lot of cats!). He was extremely passive and so meek. He would let you do anything with him, and he often liked to sit on my shoulder while I walked around. He was not a lap cat, but sure had his way of showing you his affection. He loved giving kisses... and soon he recognized that "give me a kiss!!" meant rubbing his lips against your nose, or smashing his head against yours.

He will be sorely missed.

In Loving Memory of Sam
