Tammy was a beloved friend of the family for almost 20 years. She had the most gentle personality you can imagine... and totally devoted to the humans she adopted. Even in her later years she was very active, going outside in the backyard sunshine and watching the birds in the garden. When one looked into her eyes, you could see she knew and loved her place in the family and would reciprocate with the closest thing that approximates a 'cat smile' I know of. She passed away in my arms in her 19th year while on the way to the vet clinic. We had her buried in the most picturesque country pet cemetery north of the city (run by the vet clinic on their private property). Now she spends her time forever roaming the rolling grassy hills looking for the mice she remembers from her youth. Someday, in the mists of time, if they ask me if I knew her... I'd smile and say, "She was a friend of mine." Someday, we will play again.
In Loving Memory of Tammy.
She is sadly missed.Copyright © Silent Knight
