Trill is Plotting to Take Over

Well, my DH is convinced Trill is going to revolt. Okay. So am I.

Now, you have to understand Trill. He was a very strange stray who came to stay one time. He looks like he has lips, and a goatee. DH is convinced he is either an alien (little does he know!) or an escapee from a lab experiment at the major university near us. Last night, he was trying to convince me that he was a lab experiment who was mated to a monkey.

"Well, just look at him!" he said. "Look at the way he uses his paws! Look at his face!"

To be honest, I do call him "Monkey Cat" on occasion. He's also "Thief Cat", because he has a terrible habit of using his paws (much too well) to steal the other cats' dishes.

You know those cat toys that are plastic circles, with openings and a ball inside designed, I would imagine, to drive cats nuts? I couldn't resist, and got one last time I was at the pet store.

The other boys were interested, but could not get beyond the Trill Defense System. He decided this was his toy, and only his.

Smack! Bat! Smack! Bat!

It has gone on for weeks.

Even worse. My DH has seen him do it. And has seen him using the back part of his paw to smack it, and the front part to catch it.

He is learning. He is plotting. He is going to do more than learn to open cupboard doors.

I am afraid. Very afraid!
