CAT PHILES

Helen's Cheeky Devils

True love, and then some...

Talk about besotted. Many of you know about my *feral* additions to the household, Sir Sam-lunchalot, and Madame Pandora. Well, the pair of them are totally inseparable.

This morning, Pandy had to go to the vet to have her second flu/enteritis and FeLV shots. I managed to trap her, and get her into the cat carrier and had put her in the porch all ready to go, when I saw Sam howling the house down, frantically looking for her, and panicking because he couldn't find her. I couldn't leave him, as he would have done himself an injury in his distress, so I picked him up and stuck him in the carrier with Pandy. The minute the pair of them set eyes on each other, it was all *mmrrps*, purrs, and squeaks, and the pair of them settled down and curled up around one another, happy as Larry.

The talked to and reassured each other all the way to the vet, Pandy had her shots, with Sam chattering away to her, and then the pair of them came home, perfectly relaxed and happy.

My vet, bless her, has suggested that when Pandy goes in to be spayed, I take Sam too, to keep her company. She thinks it will be less stressful on everyone and the nurses can distract and play with Sam while Pandy is being operated on.

I must admit to feeling somewhat jealous that the pair of them have found their hearts true love at such a young age....!
