CAT PHILES

A Taste of Vino

Vino Stuff

Vino has been doing the cutest things lately, he has his slaves firmly wrapped around his fuzzy little paw!

The other day we put up some shelves in our apartment. They're the kind with the angle brackets screwed into the wall and a board on top. He can get on one shelf by jumping from the top of the TV and proceeds to knock off enough things in order to create a little space for him to lie down and observe us from above. It took less than a day for us to be trained properly, now we keep a clear space just for him. smiley.gif

He has also suddenly become obsessed with another shelf we have. He never used to try to get up on it, but suddenly he would spend hours in front of it, getting up on 2 legs trying to peer at the top shelf. I couldn't figure out what the sudden fascination was. He was yowling pitifully. Suddenly it occurred to me that maybe he wanted the picture of the orange kitten from my cat-a-day calendar that looks just like Vino used to look! I moved the calendar to a lower shelf and he hasn't tried to get up to the top since!

This morning I was sleeping on my stomach and Vino came up and curled up in the crook of my arm. He burrowed his head against my cheek and chin and writhed around and around, lying on his back with his paws up. It was sooo cute! Eventually I had to turn over though because my back gets sore from lying on my stomach too long, so Vino stalked off to Dennis' side of the bed and repeated the entire thing!
