It's really blustery in Ohio today, and I decided to take a walk at dusk. Webby followed me halfway out to the pond, and then into the far meadow... he started crying when I walked out of his territory and wouldn't follow, so I went over, picked him up, stuffed him in my coat and carried him.We walked down through the brush, he was peeking out, all excited, checking everything out... until we came to the creek, which is flowing pretty fast today. I was wearing my rubber boots so I just started wading across. Well we came to a downed tree, and I had to duck under... Webby went nuts, started squirming, and manage to wrap his paws around my neck, bury his face under my chin and he held on so tight. Every time I would cross back over the creek he'd hide his face and hug!
When I finally got back to the part of the property he is familiar with he burst into the loudest purrs... it was so cute. He got down and walked from there, he kept stopping to listen to a deer in the woods, you couldn't see it but you could hear it walking. What a nice walk.
