Hee! The funniest thing ever happened yesterday. Dennis was in the bathroom upstairs fiddling with his contacts and I was impatiently pacing around downstairs waiting for Dennis. Vino was lying on one of the top steps of the staircase which is one of those kinds with just boards that you can look between to see downstairs.

I kept pacing from the kitchen, through the hall, past the stairs, into the living room and back. Then I noticed that Vino's head was hanging down between the steps and he was watching me pace. His beady little eyes kept following my every move. It was beginning to creep me out! So, as a joke I yelled upstairs to Dennis in a whiny little kid voice: "Dennis! Vino's bugging me! He keeps staring at me and I don't like it! Make him sto-op!"

Well, Dennis snuck up behind Vino (while Vino was pre-occupied with staring at me) and gently ruffled his bunny-tail fur. Wow, you guys shoulda seen that cat jump! Instant Halloween cat posture, every hair puffed up, I'd say he went 5 feet straight up into the air. Then he proceeded to fall down the stairs looking very klutzy. Of course Dennis and I were howling! So Vino did the catly thing and washed himself while balefully glaring at us. Hee hee hee! I don't know what he was madder at, being scared like that and falling down the stairs, or being laughed at.

Thankfully, we got back into his good graces by giving him a couple of his absolute favourite treats, "Nibletz Semi-moist Catnip Treats".
