Life with cats is filled with "wonderment!"Just suppose that it is 12:30PM. You visit the kitchen for a last cup of tea and a cold piece of pizza, and the cats, of course, decide they are invited to a late dinner party.
Or perhaps you wake up at 3:00AM (shouldn't have had that cold pizza!) and head for the kitchen for a warm cup of milk. The cats, of course, assume that an early breakfast will be served.
But come 9:00AM (a reasonable hour, to my way of thinking!), when it would be sensible to feed my small army, they are nowhere to be found. The greedy things are all tucked into warm niches here and there, or wrapped into "my" blankets, dreaming cat dreams.
Are they waiting for 12:00AM "brunches" -- or afternoon tea??? Or -- more likely -- waiting for me to become fully absorbed in one project or another, just so they can spoil my concentration and disrupt my interest? Of course they are!
And dry food -- always available -- just won't do it! The little beasts want turkey!
Cats -- ya just gotta love 'em!
